America lost an icon yesterday; Senator Dianne Feinstein died at the age of 90. She had announced not long ago that she was ready to retire from public service after a long and rewarding career. She suffered from multiple health issues. She was a fixture of California politics for decades and was first elected to the US Senate in 1992 after a historic political career in San Francisco. Our prayers go out to her friends and family. No word yet on the arrangements for her funeral service.

                                                                        Did you ever think you'd live long  enough to see a politician with absolutely no taste  or presence of decorum  sitting in  the governors chair in Alabama? Is this something you would normally expect to see from a state official that was elected by the people to be in charge of running their state? Is this who they had in mind to represent their views to the rest of the world? What sort of statement is this intended to make? We need to put some dignity and respect back in our institutions and take a longer look at who we are electing to run our government. Behavior like this is just not at all acceptable from an elected official. Is she trying to get on the Trump circus train, maybe?Could be a slip-up that is revealing of her true position, I hope not.   Well, here's a real kicker to start the round-up! The New York State Supreme Court issued an order today that effectively puts Donald J. Trump, his children and many other associates working for Trump in any and all of his businesses, OUT OF BUSINESS in the state of New York. The order calls for the immediate disolution of all the Trump businesses in the state and all of the licenses and contracts held by the Trump organization in New York are cancelled as of today. It was further ordered that Trump must sell all of  his property holdings including his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida along with his country clubs, golf resorts or any other real property owned by Trump and/or any subsidiaries forthwith. The proceeds, which are being monitored now by a financial overseer appointed by the court, will go toward all the fines, fees , judgements and punitive damage awards that Trump owes to the state and to all the victims of what the court called,"an ongoing pattern of fraud" in

   Throughout history, men have fought wars for many different reasons.They sometimes fought over religious beliefs or a woman, but the most were fought in order to acquire larger land holdings and exploit the much needed natural resources contained therein. In a " Meet the Press" interview that aired Sunday, ex-president Donald Trump admitted that it was his decision to push the false claim that he had won the presidency and try to overturn the 2020 election results. He still pled "not guilty" though to charges brought by a Grand Jury. If you plead not guilty to a charge, would you appear on live television and admit the exact opposite? I certainly wouldn't, but Trump is not known for making good decisions and he just cannot resist making inflammatory comments about past and pending cases when he appears in public.
